DescriptionPreparation of the trunk of a female child with the thoracic and abdominal cavities exposed to show the heart and blood vessels.
The abdominal viscera have been removed and after dissection the parts dried and varnished. The heart and blood vessels have been injected, the arteries and left side of the heart painted red, the veins and right side of the heart painted blue. The diaphragm has been retained and in the thorax the lungs are shrunken and dried.
