TitleAckland's Fracture Splint
DescriptionMetal splint which is clamped onto the jaw to support a fractured mandible. The upper and lower plates are adjusted using screws positioned to the front.
The instrument has been demonstrated with the right half of a mandible, which has no teeth present. Where the mandible body meets the ramus the number '57' has been painted on. An old label attached to the instrument reads '694 Ackland's jaw fracture apparatus'.
