From an adult in whom the abnormal facet was associated with a sesamoid bone in the tendon of the flexor pollicis longus muscle.
On the volar aspect of the middle of the anterior margin of the articular surface there is a piriform facet whose long diameter passing transversely measures 3 mm., and its broadest longitudinal diameter 2 mm.
