The body of the upper joint is angled where each handle and each claw meets the joint. There is a faint circle in the centre on one side of the joint indicating a screw. One the other side of the joint the makers mark is inscribed: ‘CLULEY’. The tips of the forceps angle upwards at 90 degrees. The claws are hollowed leaving an almost circular section between the claws when they meet. Described as a copy of Shepherd’s design.
