DescriptionForceps. Mid-eighteenth century.
Used for the extract of maxialliary bicuspids and molars. The crude fashioning suggests it originates from North Africa or Western Asia but the markings on the blades suggest that it is most likely Arabian.
Handles flare and taper towards the end, with ornamental detailing at the tips. The obejct number is carved on the outside of the handle.
