TitleDum dum bullet
DescriptionDum dum bullet.
Unfired example of an SP soft-point 7.62 rifle bullet, called a dum dum bullet because it deforms into a mushroom shape upon hitting the target and therefore inflicts a much more serious wound. Such bullets are banned by international law (the Hague convention) for use by soldiers in combat because they cause unnecessary suffering. Even so, expanding bullets like this are routinely used in terrorist attacks and also in civilian shootings in the USA. They are meant to be used purely for hunting deer and other large game.
