DescriptionMalgaigne's griffe clamp, first used in 1840. It was designed so that the arc that could be strapped around the limb, a screw passing down the back of the instrument was positioned over the knee cap, the screw was then tightened to realign the patella into place.
Markings show it was made by Gardner, Edinburgh.
