DescriptionPerforator, a destructive instrument used to aid extraction after the death of the foetus in pregnancy or in complicated deliveries by craniotomy. This instrument has an old museum label no. 96 on the shaft. This partially covers the makers mark which looks like it reads 'Mcleod'. One of the sharp penetrating tips has it's broken point.
