DescriptionCranioclast in scissor like design. Cranioclasts are destructive instruments used to remove the foetus after death. On both sides of the shaft of the instrument there are seven deep notches, perhaps for measuring use? The instrument has an old museum label taped on which is preventing the instrument from opening no.83. On the inside of the handle 'W. Richardson' is inscribed.
