DescriptionShiotz indentation tonometer, used to measure the intraocular pressure (IOP) by measuring the depth produced on the surface of the cornea by a load of a known weight.
The instrument rests of the anaethetised cornea. The degree of indentation is transmitted to the lever. The reading is taken from a graph to convert to mm of mercury.
