DescriptionDissection of the head prepared by Maison Tramond of Paris.
The skull has been dissected. On the left hand side the arteries and veins have been corrosion cast in wax, while on the left side the branches of the trigeminal nerve have been created using thread dipped in wax. There are wax eyeballs showing the muscular attachments, and a portion of the right dura with the arterial supplyis visibile in wax. A hook allows a the right posterior section of the calvarium to be opened to further reveal this wax dura. This section of calvarium has had the outer table of bone reomoved to reveal the diploe below, and the vasculature in wax is visible.
