TitleUnusual fracture of the distal tibia and upper diaphysis of fibula
DescriptionTibia and fibula, an adult right, showing a recent fracture. A V-shaped fracture has traversed the distal portion of the tibial diaphysis and a vertical extension has split the epiphysis and its articular surface into two almost equal parts. A transverse fracture has divided the fibular diaphysis a short distance distal to the neck.
Fracture of both bones of unusual character. The lower oblique fracture of the tibia running from above downwards and laterally associated with a transverse fracture of the upper end of the tibia. Probably the result of a direct injury to tibia.
