DescriptionUterus with the uterine tubes and ovaries and in which the cavity has been exposed by anterior removal of the distal two-thirds, showing carcinoma.
From a female aged 63 years.
The uterus is of average size. The endometrium of the distal half of the uterus is irregularly swollen and ulcerated and of the cervical portion, as far as the external orifice of the uterus. There is some infiltration of the muscle. Microscopic examination shows the structure of an adenocarcinoma.
