TitleA neurofibroma in relation with cutaneous branches of the spinal nerves
DescriptionA neurofibroma in relation with cutaneous branches of the spinal nerves. From an adult the subject of neurofibromatosis, in whom this pedunculated tumour had become ulcerated.
Proximally the skin is comparatively smooth, but distally has a warty appearance and on the reverse of this portion is an ulcerated excoriation with a ragged floor and undermined edges. Microscopic examination shows areas of pure fibroma and in parts masses of nerve fibres or groups of nerve twigs, which justify its inclusion with neurofibromatosis.
