The specimen shows the abdominal aorta and both kidneys. In the aorta there is an aneurysm whoch involves the origin of the right renal artery and has occluded that artery with infarction of the right kidney which is much reduced in size.
This is an unusual situation for abdominal aortic aneurysm, most of which involve the aorta distal to the renal arteries.
