DescriptionPortion of the left half of the mandible of a child aged two years with its labial surface removed exposing the roots of the deciduous teeth.
The left central incisor has been lost but the left lateral incisor, the canine and the first molar of the deciduous teeth are erupted. The second deciduous molar is still covered on its occlusional surface byte the mucosa of the gum. Deep to the central and lateral incisor teeth and the canine tooth lie the partly formed permanent teeth while posterior to the second deciduous molar the crown of the permanent first molar is seen in its dental sac. A short black bristle has been introduced between the sac and the teeth.
