DescriptionTeeth, Plaster cast of the, showing changes due to inherited syphilis.
From a female aged 11 years, the subject of epilepsy, in whom the Wassermann blood and cerebro-spinal fluid reaction was definitely positive.
The maxillary teeth are small, with a considerable diastema between them. The central incisor teeth have erupted obliquely, their lateral margins converging towards the occlusional surface, each of which presents a single notch. The lateral incisor teeth are peg-shaped and the canine and premolar teeth have not erupted. The crown of each right maxillary molar tooth presents at its posterior border an extra cusp. The mandibular teeth are small and the central incisor teeth, deficient in enamel, are slightly notched. The lateral incisor, the left canine and both first molar teeth are fully erupted. Possibly some of the other mandibular teeth have been extracted.
