Excised from a female aged 58 years nine months after an untreated subcoracoid dislocation of the humerus.
A vertical wedge-shaped depression involves the posterior part of the articular surface and the adjacent portion of the greater tubercle. The surface of the notch is rough and nodular. A little osteophytic outgrowth in one or two places indicates a subsequent chronic arthritis.
