There are eight apertures in the labial and nine in the labial and nine in the lingual, surface for the passage of floss-silk to stabilize loose teeth. It reveals skilful craftsmanship; and was constructed by the French dentists , Mallan & Sons, who practised concurrently in London and Paris. They flourished prior to 1829 and for years subsequently.
