TitlePenis, stricture
DescriptionPortion of the body of a penis with the corpus cavernosum urethrae laid open longitudinally showing a stricture of the urethra
From an adult in whom the stricture was considered "spasmodic." (M. Baillie. "Morbid anatomy of the human body." London. 1799, 169. Pl.iv. fig.l.Erroneously attributed as from John Hunter's Museum).
For some 18 mm. the lumen of the urethra is narrowed by a smooth convexity which appears bilateral on section and, of normal cavernous structure, does not show fibrosis. Slight fissuring of the neighbouring epithelium is artefact.
