DescriptionCase of Bougies from the collection of John Bishop, Lord Lister's last private assistant when in Edinburgh. The black oval case has a plaque inscribed with 'John Bishop' and all of the instruments are engraved with the owners initials 'JB'. The case includes instruments made by Gardner, Edinburgh and two catheters made by Weiss, London. The case contains six large bougues and two large catheters.
The lid is now completely seperated from the base of the case.
