A dark red Moroccan hard leather case containing 33 assorted ophthalmic instruments. The case has a pine substrate with leather veneer with plain tooled edges. The interior is compartmentalised and lined in a dark blue velvet type material. The top of the case has a plain metal lozenge to its centre. There is a clip lock to the front with hook fasteners to the sides. 22 of the instruments have bone/plastic cream/white octagonal handles with fine, sharp, polished steel shafts. There are five pairs of tweezers, the rest are an assortment of small instruments. The case has adhesive tape around the circumference to hold it in place. ‘Danger sharp instruments’ has been scratched on the lid.
