DescriptionA lithotomy sound is a type of metal probe, it was inserted into the bladder via the urethra to determine whether a bladder stone was present. This sound has a notched handle for grip in thin lines. The makers mark is visible on one side of the handle 'Aiken, York' and the museum number has been etched into the other side.
