DescriptionShoulder joint, Proximal portion of the humerus from a right, showing tuberculous osteitis. The greater tubercle and the posterior half of the anatomical neck and the articular surface are replaced by an irregular cavity bounded by cancellous bone. The bone is light from decalcification- The tuberculous process has commenced within the bone and destruction has been rapid and there is practically no reaction beyond the affected area.
