From a patient in British Guiana (Guyana, South America), who was a resident in the Hospital for lepers having suffered from leprosy for 15 years.
The fingers have been destroyed by slowly progressing ulceration, and only parts of the proximal phalanges remain and are flexed at the metacarpophalangeal articulations. The skin of the palm is rough and ichthyotic and of the dorsum is somewhat atrophied.
