The missile (probably a rifle bullet) has entered the ulnar border of the forearm 3.5 cm proximal to the wrist joint and has passed anterior to the bones to its exit an the radial border of the forearm 2.5 cm proximal to the wrist joint. The wound of entrance is somewhat circular with a diameter of about 0.8 cm. Its margin is white and its floor slightly sloughy looking. The wound of exit is larger and measures 1.5 cm in its vertical and 1 cm in its horizontal diameter. Its margin is whitish and somewhat irregular and its floor is sloughy. Vertical incisions on the anterior and posterior surfaces of the forearm and on the paJ.mar and dorsal aspects of the hand are indications of cellulitis for which amputation had been performed some days after infliction of the injury.
