DescriptionE.M.O (Epstein, Macintosh, Oxford) ether inhaler. Large short cylindrical body with handle on top. The centre dial is labelled "E.M.O. ETHER INHALER", and controls for the percentage volume of ether released, from "close for transit" to 20%. On the top lower section is a metal plunger label 'ether' a glass level indicator. There is a port for attaching tubing on either side.
A low resistance vaporiser which is both temperature and level compensated. Water at the bottom of the container would provide a heat sink to vaporise the liquid ether.
