From a male aged 5 years, the subject of abdominal tuberculosis and septic endocarditis, in whom the dura mater was densely adherent to the rarefied areas in the calvaria. The top view of the skull shows two areas of pink colour from increased vascularisation of the well-defined areas, of which the right is the larger, in marked contrast with the normal bluish tint of the surrounding bone. A slight increase of vascularity indicates the position of the sutures. Also attached is a drawing showing microscopic appearance, presumably of the areas increased vascularisation.
