DescriptionFemale age 18 years. Pain in back with diminished sensation to pin prick for several months.
X-ray shows a large osteolytic lesion in the sacrum. The body and part of the right ala of S1 have been destroyed. There is a little oil in the theca following myelography. Operation revealed a fleshy tumour surrounding the sacral nerve roots and shown histologically to be an osteoclastoma.
X-ray taken 6 months later following radiotherapy and showing some calcification in the lesion.
