DescriptionWilliam IV mahogany side chair, designed by William Henry Playfair, made by John Burke & Son, Edinburgh. Board cresting, red leather upholstery, ringed and fluted legs. One of these chairs can be seen in the only known picture of the original Meeting Hall. Hay’s painting of the 1889 meeting shows Dr Argyll Robertson, seated on one.
