TitleMalformation of foot and leg
Creator Robert Wilson (1880-1940) Matthews (Artist)
DescriptionPencil sketch of a left foot and leg showing malformation. Of a child. There is congenital absence of the fibula. The leg is short, and in the skin distal to the centre of the anterior border of the tibia there is a dimple where the superficial structures apparently adhered to the bone. The foot is everted and directed laterally. There are but three toes. The hallux is well formed, the next is evidently the index toe but is short, has a slight dorsal displacement, and presents a lateral concavity. The third toe is rotated so that it's plantar aspect looks towards the hallux. It is well formed and is slightly flexed.
