Inscribed on front Busch Rothenow, 9775, D.R.G.M." 9775 indicates the registration number for Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster meaning it was registered across all German states. These numbers were issued between 1891 and 1952.
Metal handheld device with shaped eyepiece at one end, which holds a screw when not in use. This is surrounded by a turning dial inscribed with numbers increasing in increments of 30. Other end holds an adjustable lense. Also inscribed 'L' and 'R' on either side to indicate left and right. Black braided electrical cable with small two-pronged plug. Comes in brown crocodile skin case with metal popper fastening.
