DescriptionEarly Thoracoscope. Long thick hollow metal tube ending in a scoop shape at one end. The other end has a single protruding attachment with screw ending on one side, and a larger protuding section intersected by a diagonal containing a removable metal cap. There are several inscriptions on the instrument head, reading: 'Storz Germany', '10318 C', 'L', 'TSC 2', '7.5mm', and '43cm'.
Thoracoscopes are used for a specific type of endoscopy - internal imaging technique. These devices can help when there is a need to visualize lungs, pleura or mediastinum.
