DescriptionDe Wecker ophthalmology scissors made by R. Wurach in Berlin circa 1900. De Wecker scissors feature blades at a right angle to make incisions during precedures such as iridectomy and iridotomy. Contained within a small, rectangular, textured, black box marked '287. Oxford St London J.Weiss & son ltd.' on the inside lid. The makers mark on the handle of the instrument reads 'R.Wurach Berlin'.
Part of 13 donated objects from the ophthalmology collection once belonging to P.K. Ray and used by Mr Frank Green FRCSEd.
