The preparation is a left adrenal gland. The right adrenal gland is GC.8681
From a male aged 45 years the subject of progressive debility during two years. A patch of lupus had been present on the forehead during three months and tuberculous abscesses of the right cervical lymph nodes during a month. He was thin and on exertion faint and dizzy. Temporary improvement followed aspiration of cervical abscesses three weeks before death There was no pigmentation of the skin. On post mortem examination old tuberculosis was found at the apex of each lung and there were a few calcareous lymph nodes. The heart was snail and the vessels thin. Tuberculous affection of the suprarenal glands was bilateral (17.d.2. ) and the other organs appeared healthy.
