DescriptionLower limb amputation prosthesis. Hollow aluminium leg shaft. Rubber foot attached with rigid ankle. Two hinges connecting to leather thigh corset. Adjustable leather strap connecting back of aluminium shaft to back of corset. Adjustable leather strap attached to front of aluminium body, probably originally connecting to hip or shoulder strap (now lost) for additional support. Leather and elastic strap attached to outside of leather corset, would also have attached to hip/shoulder strap.
