DescriptionLower limb aluminium prosthesis for an adult. Hollow aluminium upper and lower leg connected by two hinges replacing knee. Rubber foot attached with rigid ankle. Upper leg attached to hip socket via two hinges, reinforced on the outer side for stability. Aluminium hip socket padded with leather, fastened with adjustable double-strap leather belt. Adjustable, elasticated strap connecting lower leg body to hip socket for easier mobility. Hip socket with shoulder strap attached for additional support. Appears to have been customised for the wearer with padding in hip socket to mirror their disability. Reinforced outside hinge and leather covering of upper leg body appear to have been added to fit a generic leg prosthesis to this particular patient.
