DescriptionSpecimen and Histological Glass Slides x1Specimen of the tongue, thyroid and pharynx demonstrating the presence of a parathyroid adenoma. At the right lower pole of the thyroid,and approximately 1 cm. in diameter, the tumour has been sectioned and shows a smooth, pale, fleshy homogeneous texture. The outer surface is smooth and round and shelled out from the adjacent tissue.
