From a male aged 51 years, who had his eyeball enucleated due to melanoma of the choroid a few months previously. On post-mortem examination metastatic melanomata were found throughout the liver, in the lungs, and on the diaphragm.
This is a portion of the lung with numerous metastatic melanomata. The lung is deeply picmented but the brown melanotic modules can be readily distinguidhed on both its surface and in its substance.
