From a male aged 51 years, who had his eyeball enucleated due to melanoma of the choroid a few months previously. On post-mortem examination metastatic melanomata were found throughout the liver, in the lungs, and on the diaphragm.
This is a portion of the lung showing numerous metastatic melonomata. They appear as brown tumours in the substance of the lung and as small brown pedunculated masses on the surface of the pleura.
