DescriptionMahogany boxed set of enema [stomach pump] apparatus consisting of a lacquered brass cylinder pump with manufacturer’s plate. The pump has a trigger mechanism to alternate inlet and outlet flow and has an ivory handle. The set is complete with tubing and ivory and brass nozzles. The set may have been dual-function and used for gastric lavage, enema, and flushing out the stomach, as well as administering various drugs via the stomach and rectum.
