DescriptionThe .32 Smith & Wesson was introduced bout 1870 and was widely used both in the USA and Europe as a small pistol cartridge. In the late 1800s huge numbers of cheap revolvers in this calibre were manufactured in Belgium and were routinely carried by travellers for self-protection. Smith and Wesson were the first to introduce the “through drilled” centrefire revolver, which rapidly became the standard design.
