TitleArm prosthesis, left
DescriptionProsthetic left arm. Articulated to fixed positions at the elbow and wrist by a series of mechanical locking levers. The hand is gloved in brown leather and can be completely removed. The upper arm to the shoulder is made of leather and has adjustable webbed braces; the lower limb has a crude skin like appearance and seems to be made of resin-impregnated canvas. There are no manufactures and was likely made in the orthopaedic workshops of the Princess Margaret Hospital in Edinburgh.
