DescriptionCranial surgical instruments (ten instruments and attachments) in a wood rectangular case, veneered with a dark coloured Chagrin (shark skin) with a compartmentalised, red velvet interior.
The case has a brass escutcheon (no key) to the front, with hook fasteners. Brass back hinges that overlap on the lid that has a central lozenge. Drop handles to front and brass studs as feet. A list of instruments and attachments are listed below:
• One rosewood ‘T’ handle and metal sleeve
• Two circular saw attachments
• One small brass receptacle
• One attachment with spear shaped point. 70mm length.
• Scissor shaped tool (Evans). 145mm in length.
• Pallet knife with rosewood handle with flat metal shaft with rasp to end.
• Instrument with pear shaped rosewood handle, metal shaft with cap to end.
• Instrument with pear drop rosewood handle, metal shaft with flat square end.
• Drop nose knife (Evans) with rosewood handle.
