The tumour thereafter gradually increased until eight years after the radiotherapy it reached its present dimensions. The tumour is a sausage-shaped fibrous mass measuring 100 mm. in length, 20 mm, in breadth, and 30 mm. in depth. It is divided into lobules on the surface by five transverse narrow sulci. Apart from the presence of cicatrices the skin covering it is normal, Microscopically the tumour is a diffuse fibroma showing dense collagen bundles with much proliferation of fibroblasts.
