Of a nullipara aged 22 years in whom a pregnancy of the left horn (22. (1).a.1. ) ruptured at the fourth month. Death occurred a few hours after coeliotomy and the uterus was removed post mortem. (J. Haig Ferguson. Trans. Edinburgh obstet. soc., I923. XLIII. 58.)
The uterus is shown from anteriorly, the urinary bladder being turned down. The uterus consists of two lateral segments, the left of which shows the ruptured extremity through which the foetus was extruded into the abdominal cavity. The cornua of the uterus are oval and symmetrical and pass obliquely, to meet in the mesial plane.
