TitleChain Saw
DescriptionSteel chain saw with detatchable chain and ebony handles in a velvet lined leather box.
Chain saws like this were used when access to the bone to be cut was too limited for a hand saw. One end of the chain would be detatched from the handle and hooked around the bone using a carrier needle, a curved metal hook.
Has a stamp on the inside of the box lid, but it is unreadable.
