Lead alloy denture
Object numberED.CS.2010.5.7
TitleLead alloy denture
DescriptionWeighted lower denture made of grey cast lead alloy base with porcelain teeth. The porcelain teeth appear to be held in place by adhesive, visible between the back left and back right molars.
The principal was that the weight of the denture would hold it down. The reality is that the tongue is much stronger and could easily displace it.
