From an adolescent.
The distal half of the process is swollen and curved with the concavity at the mesenteriole which is oedematous. The process is hyeraemic and the serosa partly covered with a fibrino-purulent exudate. The mucosa of the proximal half is oedematous and obstructs the lumen, in the distal half the mucosa is necrotic and the lumen is distended with blood clot and contains a small concretion.
