Obtained post mortem from an individual who died of myelogenous leukaemia.
The spleen is much enlarged and its capsule, free from perisplenitis, is of normal thickness. Section shows the splenic pulp pale and mottled with yellowish patches due to accumulation of leucocytes. The trabeculae are not in evidence and microscopic examination shows hypertrophy of the splenic stroma with great increase of lymphocytes.
